Scent of Legends: League of Fragrances
A hobby that I started last year was thinking up perfume/cologne ideas. It began with my old dream of a dirt/rain/evergreen perfume and grew from there, and after a while I began to wonder what perfumes from the world of Runeterra might be like. So these are some ideas about perfumes from certain regions or for certain champions might be like. Any feedback is welcome. Demacian Standard The idea for this one was a more traditional fragrance that someone from Demacia such as Garen or J4 might wear. It would have a base of cedarwood and vetiver, as well notes of bergamot, cinnamon, lavender, and rosewood. Trifarix: Might A strong perfume that a guy from Noxus such as Darius might wear. It would have notes of birch tar, amber, and pine, as well as cardamom and labdanum, and some black currant up top. Frozen Shore The idea of this one was a scent that a Freljordian warrior might wear in their down time or to formal occasions. It would open up with a bit of nutmeg spice and marine notes,
A gentle call from deep within, Subliminal and unfolding; Susurrus crescendos and spins The world into a blurry pool Centered on a single jewel, Each facet carved with love, shining Diamond-bright, no grace withholding. A glimpse into the raven sea Is found within it- within you; Reverberating symphony Of longing redeemed into hope: Melody of light, sunrise glow A strain to strain the heart-strings, through A joy redefined and renewed.
In the bone-deep silence, In the hollow Where i laid my dreams to rest, The thought of you remains Drifting like a cloud of scattered ash Past all the monuments of memories; You were here, you were there, Where am i? The stars are hidden by the streetlights, The silence of the raven sea Masked by the streams of red and white, Humming, rattling, Hoping to find music Below, as the echoes from above, Seeking the quiet, that Makes heart and blood both leap in joy Where gentle tides rise and fall, And sunset bathes the world in gold; To wait in silent reverie there, Listening to your heartbeat To sleep and dream of brighter worlds Our hands have not yet made.

Bus Ride Home: Secret Forbidden Cocktail Recipes
Hey, Ted. Here’s all those cocktail recipes you asked for. Some of them we both remember pretty well, but I’m understandably a little fuzzy on some of the details(as you know, I made up the majority on the spot)- as such, make anything in here at your own peril lol. I know you’re a little bummed I don’t go out drinking with the group anymore, and to be honest, I miss the spirit of those good times, too- just a bunch of friends hanging out and having fun. But the alcohol was getting to be a big problem for me, and it was causing parts of my life that you didn’t see to unravel and go into a downward spiral. I’m in a good place now though, and I wouldn’t be too mad if you opened this gift before your wedding(wink wink). I wish you all the best, and if you ever need a ride home, just call me. #1 Alphabet Sour When I needed to think up something quick, I would always start at the beginning of the alphabet and go in order. This cocktail is that strategy summed up in one glass. All you gotta

Kitchen of Legends: Firecracker Jinx's Soup Recipe
The Lunar Legend Festival in TFT mostly done, one of the gifts the player gets is a "super-hot hotpot soup base recipe" from Firecracker Jinx. I thought it would be fun to make a real-life recipe based on it. The recipe as written in TFT is: "10c Infernal Drake Stock 3 Spoons Magma Paste 5 Blistering Chilicorns 8 Urzeris soul peppers 1 Pinch Blast Cone pollen Step 1: Add ingredients to pot Step 2: Crank the heat Step 3: Feed to enemies." There were some ingredients that quickly came to mind, but as I'm not an experienced chef, I wanted to find a recipe for reference for the amounts. A quick search turned up "Spicy Red Bell Pepper Soup Recipe" from Allrecipes dot com, by QuirkyIQ. Their recipe uses some vegetables I didn't have/want to put in mine, so it is a little different. So, the ingredients for my real-life version of Jinx's soup are: 4c chicken stock 6 oz can of tomato paste 6 tblsp half and half 1/4 tsp+ of chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes
The other day, I saw that it had been several years since I worked out my version of a Light type for Pokemon, and was inspired to make another new type. I looked around at some other fan types to see if there was anything I thought could work, and I found a Holy or Divine type in a couple places. After a moment, I thought that it could work as a counterpart to the "Evil" Dark type, which encompassed not only literal shadows but also underhanded tactics; the Holy type would be clean and wholesome and have light themes and motifs, while not being literal Light types like I had thought of before. While it could be called the "Holy" type, I decided for it to have a more generalized name like the Dark type does in English, and called it the Pure type. TYPE RESISTANCE NOTES One of the things that first came up was the type having resistances to earthly forces like Fire and Water, etc. but then I realized that the Dragon type kind of had that covered. So I went in another direction and
I awoke to Springtide meadows, Butterflies cavorting on the breeze A golden age without shame or malice Where the air was pure and clean; Then I learned of laws that governed the cosmos That there were flowers, and there were weeds, The honeyed hour turned to darkness- Sometimes beauty's just a dream. So I schemed to steal the fire, The signal blaze I once had seen, The divine right that separated Enlightened man from humble beast; I bore the torch through endless fields of Summer, Running with a vandal's glee, Scorching earth without realizing Fire's danger is more than heat. Then, feeling I had found my home I cleared the ash beneath my feet, Laying down a straw foundation For a place of shelter and relief; An age of hope and promise for the future Gilded only by the Autumn leaves, Waiting, 'til all that was left Was windblown straw and bones of trees. It was chilling to hear the silence Of the laughing brooks and streams, Angels haunting the desolation With their footsteps and
A shaded grove far in the wilds, Forest floor scattered with light Like petals leading a lover on; The shrill horns and roar of the city Fade for a verdant respite A time enchanted by the quiet, Borderland 'twixt dream and day Danger pines, coyly lurking 'Neath each snap and rustle of the leaves Yet in the whisper of the trees, There is a music singing; A field of blossoms out of sight Lies promised by a hum An effervescent jubilation Nestled in a mossy crook, A golden-amber home abuzz With a certain sweetness How should I dare to crave that taste Where no-one is the keeper? What stings would I endure there, If I stretch out my hand? Full timid and unbidden do I reach, Claim the comb, sink in my teeth My heart shuddering in grief For a time it never knew; Earthy, pungent, rich and wholesome A widow's peace and queen's delight, The floral taste only a footnote To Elysian flowered hills; The chorus of those hills to the high mountain, And that mountain to the sky; Starlight echoes from
1. Softly falling rain, Rest from a season of thirst. The night is quiet. 2. The clouds congregate, Drifting on a westward breeze The sun sighs gently. 3. The world is green now: Flowers burst into sweet song; The world is joyful.
Humissum A rising warmth, velvet and rich Blossom-sweet and honey dipped A turn of seasons, From the gray age of dormant dreams To color thriving, vivid and unabashed A tenderly bedighted haze Of heat and whispered promises Lingering in golden rays From dawn until twilight's glaze, A blushing beacon in the raven sea. Chaissum Restored to verdant pastures, Roaming with abandon Renewed to soar and sing, Uplifted on eagle's wings Shuddering as the weight is lifted, Remembering how to breathe Greeted with the Spring wind That pries off Winter's clutch. Light, sweet and rambunctious, Rollicking joyful radiance, A purity that sings and hums Unbidden and compelled, Dispelling gloom and overcast The day that sorrow dawned, Refreshing to the cerulean heights And embracing all below. Suitanne Adorable and small, Humbled and humbling A sharpness undimmed by the trembling skies it illuminates, Inviting and majestic, Reviving inhalation of love, Sigh of hope for the restless, Brook tickling
It's looking more like weak core muscles were the cause of those gut problems I'd been dealing with recently. I've kept up the McGill Big Three and have notice my posture and pains improving already, and I've had more energy. I decided to go walking Tuesday to a place that was about 20 minutes away by foot, thinking it'd be fine. But, I haven't been doing so hot since. On top of that, I'd noticed some slight pains in my shoulders from the side planks, and decided to try side crunches instead. Those only brought back more pains in my obliques: not normal sore-from-exercising pain, but the bad something-is-wrong kind. So, while I've gotten just a bit stronger over the last couple weeks, i don't think I'm back to a place where I can do regular calisthenics and core routines. I may still be strong in other places, but I'm starting from absolute zero with my core and cardio. I've also begun to suspect my weight and conditioning have affected my breathing, too. My arms and calves are lean
Here are the short stories for children that I've written! You can find them on Wattpad. The series is Adventures in Núha Pékte, and the first story is Vlaire and the King's Sword. My Wattpad handle is SkurgeOppa: https://www.wattpad.com/list/1498384357-adventures-in-nha-pkte
Earlier today I went by the clinic, as I've been dealing with some unknown stomach/gut issues. The suggestions were that I had very weak core muscles, and needed to exercise, basically. And while I don't know if that's the root cause of the stuff I'm dealing with, I can't really argue against it. As '21 was drawing to a close, my joints were beginning to bother me, and I knew I had to get moving and active. I actually was pretty consistent with that throughout the next year, but then my constitution and health changed literally overnight late December, and I spent most of '23 adjusting to that and dealing with other medical issues that came up. I only went to the gym a handful of times that year and slid back into being pretty inactive. As the years have gone by I've become pretty bitter and disillusioned with the consequences of my poverty. To be blunt, I stopped caring and trying a long time ago. Then after a year of progress, I got dumped back at square one and started going in
